BRIGHT SADNESS - CHARLIE HALL

One of the first worship leaders to have released an album from the Passion and Sixsteps network, Charlie Hall delivers his fourth album, The Bright Sadness. Charlie’s hallmark ‘down to earth’ worship lyrics and ‘just off centre’ sound are evident here.

Creating music for the sole purpose of making God’s name renown, The Bright Sadness is a collection of songs that reflect Charlie’s spiritual journaling these last few years. The album, according to Hall, “comes from me understanding my ordinary human condition and my deep love for Jesus.”

Recorded in Oklahoma City & LA, the project reflects real life struggles, among those themes addressed are brokenness and Christ’s free fellowship, redemption and compassion. With new material as showcased on the last Passion Live album, God Of This City, (‘Walk The World’ and ‘You Are God’), and new songs ‘Mystery’ and ‘Chainbreaker’ – this is an important piece of the Passion network and sixsteps.
